A 138-article archive restructured for AI answers, measured before and after
A blog with half a million lifetime views was well written but invisible to retrieval: few question-led sections, Word paste debris and stale claims. Every article was restructured and scored on countable signals.
- Sector
- Investment metals and insurance content
- Scope
- 138 articles, 160,000 words
- Language
- Bulgarian
- Period
- August 2026
Context
The same dealer runs a blog of 138 articles on metals, currency and insurance with around 489,000 lifetime views. The content was better than expected, but structured for readers scrolling a page, not for systems that pull out a single answer.
What we found
- 87 of 138 articles had question-form headings; 10 had no subheadings at all
- Text fragmented across 7,694 span tags with more than 12,000 inline styles from document paste, inflating markup to several times the size of the visible text
- Fourteen pairs of articles competing for the same intent
- Stale claims, including a history of the national currency that did not mention euro adoption
- Six well-ranked pages with over 317,000 impressions between them returned fewer than 1,200 clicks
What we did
- Built an eight-dimension scoring engine computed only from countable signals, so every change could be measured and re-run
- Restructured all 138 articles into question-led sections without changing titles or URLs
- Extracted 1,703 FAQ pairs, every answer verified word for word against visible text
- Cut markup weight by 57% with zero words lost
- Resolved each competing pair by giving the articles distinct angles
- Built a 100-article plan from gaps between the archive, the product catalogue and Search Console data
Result
- Composite score from 42.8 to 75.8, with zero articles left in the weak or poor bands
- Question-led sections on all 138 articles and internal links from 379 to 868, with 423 pointing to commercial pages
- A separate quick win identified: rewriting titles and descriptions on the six high-ranking, low-click pages
