SEO competitor analysis built from raw source code, not from tool screenshots
Competitor research compares your site against the ones that outrank you, page type by page type, using the raw HTML and structured data they serve to crawlers. The result is a list of specific weaknesses you can exploit and strengths you need to match, each tied to a page you can change.
Sounds familiar?
- One competitor dominates your category in search and in AI answers and you do not know why
- You are entering a new market or language and need to know the bar
- You want a content plan built from real gaps rather than keyword lists
- Leadership is asking whether a competitor's new site is a threat
What we fix and deliver
- A same-product or same-intent teardown: word count, facts per page, structured data, headings and media side by side
- Structured data verified from source, including the errors competitors ship and assistants silently discard
- Category share of voice in AI answers across several assistants, where in scope
- A ranked list of openings, each mapped to the page or template that should capture it
- Defensive notes: what competitors will likely copy, and how to stay ahead
How it runs
Priced by number of competitors and page types. Up to around two dozen competitors at equal depth has been delivered in a single engagement. How pricing works.
- ScopeAgree the competitor set and the page types to compare. Missing competitors that already rank are added.
- HarvestRaw HTML is collected per URL so script blocks and JSON-LD stay visible.
- TeardownEvery competitor is audited at the same depth, against the same checklist.
- OpeningsFindings turned into actions on your own pages.

Frequently asked
Why raw HTML instead of a tool?
Most page fetchers strip script blocks, which makes JSON-LD invisible. Collecting raw HTML shows exactly what a crawler receives, including broken structured data competitors do not know they have.
Can you include competitors in other countries?
Yes. Category leaders abroad are often the best benchmark. A recent engagement compared a Bulgarian retailer against leading US, UK, German and Swiss dealers in the same category.
Do you name competitors in your public case studies?
No. Client and competitor names stay out of public material. Specific findings are shared with the client only.
